We are looking for Senior Data Engineer to:
• engineer reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, distributing, and storing data in different ways, using data platform infrastructure effectively
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs working very closely with our business partners
• continually look for ways to improve your own skills and experience
• develop, train, and apply machine-learning models to make better predictions, automate manual processes, and solve challenging business problems
• transform data into valuable insights that inform business decisions, making use of our internal data platforms and applying appropriate analytical techniques

• Weehawken: the salary range for this role is $150000 to $205000

You’ll be part of STAAT Data Science group in Weehawken, NJ OR Raleigh, NC which is part of global Wealth Management Tech organization. We are developing cutting edge digital solutions to help internal and external clients make better decisions with data. Within STAAT, you will be part of a growing team that is focused on blending solutions covering digital marketing, technology, optimization and analytics to drive business results and digital transformation. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in India and Poland.

Your expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent
• ideally 12+ years of hands on data engineering experience
• comprehensive understanding and ability to apply data engineering techniques, from event streaming and real-time analytics to computational grids and graph processing engines
• curious to learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• strong competence in Python
• strong competence in SQL and database design / architectures
• Nice to have:
(1) experience with workflow orchestration platforms especially with Apache Airflow;
(2) understanding of data science / machine learning models;
(3) experience in / knowledge of R;
(4) knowledge of Large Language Models
• knowledge of Git version control
• experience working with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies
