UBS Securities LLC is seeking an Executive Director, Head of Market Risk Control Equities Americas in New York, NY.

We’re looking for an Executive Director, Head of Market Risk Control Equities Americas to:
• Identify, monitor and control market risk in Equity trading portfolios in the America region.
• Aim to achieve an appropriate balance between risk and return while minimizing potential risk concentrations to ensure that the risk-taking is in line with the UBS strategic priorities and values.
• Oversight, lead, and supervise a team of market risk officers.
• Create transparency for stakeholders through the preparation and provision of meaningful and timely risk information and relevant advice.
• Undertake portfolio analyses of the market risks, perform risk assessments and approve transactions within the delegated market risk authority and in accordance with internal policies and regulations.
• Work alongside the business, as the 2nd line of defense to independently identify and escalate issues and concerns.
• Enhance the risk control framework and participating in corresponding projects in order to accommodate product innovation and regulatory developments.
• Review the appropriateness of limits frameworks and related controls. Maintain a climate of openness, transparency and accountability in the team.

Salary & Work Schedule: $225,000 to $325,000 Per Year, 40 hrs/wk. The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your expertise
Education & Experience Requirement
• This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematical Finance, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field of study plus ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or as a Market Risk Officer, Valuation and Risk Analyst, Market Risk Manager, Sales Trader, or a related occupation.
Position requires experience with the following:
• equity structured products; equity volatility derivatives; convertible bonds; equity vanilla options; quantitative investment solutions;
• corporate derivatives; delta one financing portfolio; equity capital market transactions; cash equities; value at risk; market risk stress test; regulatory capital; fundamental review of trading book and baking book;
• regulatory audit; market risk limit management; loss advisory control process; market risk analysis; market risk framework; market risk matrix certification; market risk reporting; VaR backtesting
