We’re looking for a Director, Tech Data Engineer to:

• Build UBS’ next generation of AI/ML platforms.
• Write the code that will underpin the UBS Data Mesh ; ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying digital principles.
• Learn new technologies and practices and make decisions with long- term sustainability in mind; work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, assist in hiring talented data engineers and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.
• Build and work within the Group Chief Technology Organization, focusing on development of the Artificial Intelligence, Data & Analytics platform (ADA), closely interacting with business professionals and data scientist teams across the bank; help to scale, build and leverage data and AI in the business.
• Partner with different divisions and functions across the Bank to develop innovative digital solutions and expand technical expertise into new areas; can work hybrid (In-Office/Remote).

Salary & Work Schedule: $225,000 to $230,000 Per Year, 40 hrs/wk. Your expertise

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Data Engineer, VP Technology, Architect-Technology, Technical Project Manager, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or a related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Data Engineer, VP Technology, Architect-Technology, Technical Project Manager, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or a related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent plus eight (8) years of experience.

Position requires experience with the following:

• Java; Python; Public cloud services; Messaging and streaming technologies including Kafka
• Big data technologies including Spark and cloud storage; Kubernetes; Docker
• Data mesh principles and technologies; Linux/Ubuntu.
