Your role
CIG’s Middle Office is searching for an experienced CLO operations professional to join their CLO Investment Guidelines Monitoring team and to:
• perform oversight and governance of all operational and compliance aspects of the CLO business
• monitor all trades within the CLOs on a pre-settlement basis to ensure compliance with the CLO Indenture requirements
• test and validate new compliance model as per the CLO Indenture; providing feedback to Middle Office Service Provider and Trustee as needed
• work closely with our Middle Office Service Provider and Trustees to ensure all trade events and cash movements are captured correctly and properly reconciled for all reporting requirements
• review monthly Trustee Reports for accuracy and completeness, monitoring the tie-out process to ensure timely delivery
• verify quarterly waterfall calculations to ensure correct distributions for CLO Note interest, equity payments, management fees, and vendor expenses are made
• perform ad hoc requests for portfolio managers, trading desk and other internal stake holders, providing guidance as needed
• support new fund launches by managing operations from the warehousing stage through Closing Date and Effective Date, including approval of Flow of Funds
• oversee cash and position breaks with trustees and internal/external operational teams

CIG is one of the largest demonstrated credit managers in the US and Western Europe, with an accomplished full-service group of dedicated career credit professionals located in New York and London.
Your expertise
• undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business-related field is preferred
• ideally 5 years of work experience with a portfolio manager, accounting firm, Trustee, or middle office service provider servicing CLO’s
• previous experience with CLO's, public/private credit
• be well versed in CLO Compliance; Coverage and Collateral Quality tests, Rating Derivations, asset classifications (Defaults, Current Pay, Discounts, etc.).
• experience reading and interpreting Indentures and other fund documents
• deep subject matter knowledge in all operational aspects of CLO’s
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• hands on experience with process reengineering , control assessment and vendor management
• team player that proactively looks to add value and step-in wherever help is needed
• experience in project management, including managing external parties
• attention to detail and self-starter
• ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and high volumes
• experience with Python, SQL, and/or Excel Macros is a plus
