Your role

Do you have a track record in originating and executing real estate investments across the Americas? Can you balance deal origination, execution, due diligence, and lead the deal investment process?

We’re looking for a Co-Head of Investments, Real Estate Americas (Unified Global Alternatives) to:

• originate and execute real estate investments across the Americas, structuring fund investments, co-investments, secondaries, club deals, Programmatic Joint Ventures (JVs) and GP & LP-led recapitalizations
• lead deal investment processes end to end, including IC materials, legal, tax, operational, commercial, and structuring due diligence
• negotiate terms and indirect structures, including asset/portfolio level underwriting as well as underwriting of the JV partner/external manager
• oversee the monitoring and management of deal investment performance, corporate and operational actions, risk exposures, hold/sell considerations and reporting materials for clients
• manage the thought leadership within the Americas regional team in evaluating new investments with respect to existing portfolios
• build repeatable deal flow in systematic market/sector programs, customized for our diverse client requirements
• grow our investment platform, contributing to fundraising efforts across institutional and wealth management channels
• develop our bench, coaching and supporting colleagues on real estate underwriting and investment judgment

Your team

You’ll join the Unified Global Alternatives Real Estate team in the Americas. Our team is responsible for the sourcing, selection and diligence of investment opportunities for our dedicated funds and pools of capital. This is a highly reputable team with direct access to high quality deal flow with best-in-class managers in the sector.

The role is based in Chicago (preferred) or New York, and offers direct line of sight from deal sourcing to realized outcomes.

Your expertise

• ideally 15+ years’ experience in real estate private markets
• experience investing in unlisted real estate (primary funds, co-investments, club deals, recapitalizations or secondaries)
• experience with direct real estate investing, including joint venture structures
• strong understanding of US and Americas real estate markets across sectors and cycles
• solid knowledge of financial analysis, valuation and accounting as applied to real assets
• existing senior-level networks across US principal real estate groups, fund managers, asset management companies, limited partners, financial advisors, brokers, valuers and/or counterparties
• ability to build and sustain relationships with real estate managers, operating partners and capital providers
• clear and persuasive communication, comfortable engaging investment committees and partners
• collaborative mindset with a structured, outcomes focused approach to complex decisions

Salary information

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - Illinois - Chicago min USD 200000 - max USD 275000
• United States - New York - New York min USD 200000 - max USD 275000 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
