Your role

CIG’s Middle Office is searching for an experienced operations professional to join its Fund Control team and to:
• Work closely with the Credit Analysts, compile information and prepare New Deal Sheet for newly traded Syndicated Loans.
• Coordinate Loan Cashless Rolls from triggering the activity, review reconciliation and compliance results, communicate with the Front Office for voting decisions to submitting the voting and troubleshooting any issues.
• Perform oversight and governance of all operational aspects (data review, reporting, etc) of multiple investment vehicles including mutual funds, commingled funds, and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs).
• Perform recovery analysis and default tracking.
• Perform ad hoc requests for portfolio managers, trading desk and other internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance as needed.
• Oversee cash and position breaks with custodians and internal/external operational teams.
• Partner with IT and internal stakeholders on system enhancements, process improvements, and related initiatives.

Your expertise

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business-related field is preferred.
• Ideally 5+ years of work experience with a portfolio manager, accounting firm, Custodian, middle office service provider, or loan agent.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and appropriately identify and escalate risk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Hands on experience with process reengineering , control assessment and vendor management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and analyze large data sets with limited supervision.
• Team player that proactively looks to add value and step-in wherever help is needed.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and high volumes.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and/or Excel Macros is a plus.

Salary information

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 90000 - max USD 120000 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
